Joseph Apiscopa

Married childhood sweetheart in 1970, Yonkers Police for 27 years, retired in 2000, built a house on Cape Cod, we have traveled to China, Italy, Portugal, Spain, Israel, Jordan, Germany, Amsterdam, Belgium, Austria, France, Monaco and Greece. Our daughter Jennifer and son-in-law Bill live in Tucson withe our 2 grandchildren Maddie 12 and William 9, Rich lives in White Plains and Nick and Hayley in Katonah with grandson Jackson.

Not funny at the time but we were in Paris and after a late diner we went into the Metro station heading back to our hotel. There were several announcements but not speaking the language we did not understand. Standing there a while things seemed to get very quiet in the tunnel. Then we heard what sounded like metal gates rumbling. Realizing we were the only ones on the platform we went to the exit and found that we were locked in. Unlike NYC subways Paris metro shuts down around 12:30. Fran loves to tell the end of this story so I will leave it to her.
